I'm leaving New Zealand on April 4th. Never fear The Guide will live on!

After almost 4 years of fun based in Auckland I'm setting sail bound for SYD, NAN, SIN, LHR and finally DXB to live. What a ride I've had, and almost 11,000 of you out there have been riding the wave with me.

To take a closer look at what I have in store.CLICK HERE!

10 cool things to win this week are:

1 x $50 voucher for www.rosesarered.co.nz. Valentines Day is fast approaching, you don't want to leave it too late to spoil your partner. To win go to their website, look around and put what's new this month there as the header for your entry.

1 x Double ticket to Bush Party 2009 on Feb 28th. This looks like an amazing event especially if you are a dub/roots fan. If you'd like to attend this wicked party with a friend at no charge. Put the location of the party as the title for an email back to me.

1 x $50 bar tab for the Traffic Bar & Kitchen to be used NEXT Friday after work. A funky fresh place (located on the corner of Queen & Quay streets) with the meanest menu in town. It's busy, and there's always something going on there. If you'd like this tab email me with “Traffic Bar” as the header.

1 x Double pass to Pure'n'Sexy NEXT Saturday at Ink & Coherent. The line up is the best I've seen at this venue in years. If you want to check it out with a friend put “Pure'n'Sexy” as the header for an email back at me.

1 x Double ticket to “In Search Of A Midnight Kiss”, a rom com movie held at The Academy Cinema on Valentines Day. You get a glass of bubbles as you enter the chamber and loads of laughs assured. If you want a good option for this romantic day type “Academy Cinema” as the title for an email and send it to me.

1 x Double ticket to Slinky Cirque du Carnival, on at the ASB Showgrounds on Feb 28th. The main drawcards are UK DJ's Ilogik and Technikal, but for me it's the onstage carnival acts that will be truly mind-blowing. A dance party of international quality. Write “Slinky” as the header for an email back to me to be in the draw.

1 x Double pass to Summer On K at Ink & Coherent this Saturday night. A cunning name cut with a stylish spread of DJ's will ensure a fab evening. Put “Summer On K” as the title of an email and send me your entry.

1 x Double ticket to see David Stassman perform Ted E Bear's farewell tour at SkyCity on Feb 18th. I am so going to this, I'm sure my sides will be split by half time. If you'd like to join me then put “Strassman” in the subject box of an email and send away.

1 x Double ticket to Vilagrad vineyard's Summer Vines dance party this Saturday. It's just out of Hamilton, but I'm going along for a bit of a change of scene. For boundless fun in the sun for free put “Vilagrad Vineyard” as the title for an email back to me.

1 x Double ticket to the Our House Summer Festival 2009 at Western Springs this Saturday. There's no Groove In The Park this year, this is the big summer outdoor party in Auckland. A jumbo day/night multi-genre summer music festival featuring well known kiwi and international acts. Put "Our House Summer Festival" as the title for an email my way to possibly win.

4 x NZ Breakers basketball tickets. We're 3rd from top and playing the Cairns Taipans who lag 3rd from bottom. Who wants to go and be a part of this electrifying show? Type “NZ Breakers” as the header for an email back to me to maybe win.

1 x Mr Vintage t’shirt. You get to go into their Falcon St store in Parnell and select any t’shirt you like. Their garments are very funky, and the service is always with a smile. Put “Mr Vintage” as the header of your email when you mail me back. Check out www.mrvintage.co.nz.

Wednesday January 28th

Stereolab
The Kings Arms, 59 France St, Newton
Tickets $54.50 from www.iticket.co.nz.

Over the course of 11 albums Stereolab have refined their own distinctive sound via metronomic drums, loops, bleeps, retro keys and the distinctive French vocals of Laetitia Sadier. The UK bands latest album, Chemical Chords, is genius, a musical kaleidoscope that hits you as ear candy upon first listen, but like most Stereolab albums, further inspection reveals a playground for the mind.
