It's not about lifestyle, it's about living with style
I take this as meaning that anyone can have a blast no matter what their situation. Keep aware of possible opportunities, keep it varied, keep smiling and the good times will teem your way. If in doubt of options, attend some of the things listed below, there’s a better than average chance that I’ll be there, and we can P.A.R.T.Y, forgetting that we have to wait a full 5 months till we get another legit long weekend.
Playstation, false human enhancements, references, fashion, rock stars, business plans, reunions, hotels, babies, art and magazines. That was my week. Read all about it here.
Now on to the rest...

Thursday June 5th
The Annual Winter White Party Carrington’s, 139 Carrington Rd, Mt Albert Entry $5 or $10 for Non-students. 6.30pm – 12.30am
It’s all about white; décor and dress, but skin shade doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t normally recommend this but Adam B’s the promoter and Jason Eli, Scotty Lewis and Karn hall are the DJ’s, so you just can’t miss. If the student vibe irks you, then be wary.
And/Or Ladies Night Sponge Bar, 198 Ponsonby Rd, Ponsonby No Charge. 7pm – 3am
This bar gave me my first break in events. I don’t go there much anymore, but this party looks OK. Get a complimentary drink on the door and ladies get half price bubbles all night. The tunes will be girly and sing-a-long, but with the right scenery almost anything’s bearable.

And/Or Lollipop Dance Party Metropole Bar, 223 Parnell Rise, Parnell Tickets $25 from www.iticket.co.nz. 9pm – 3am
Metropole’s never been used for a party like this. Think of a fantasy wonderland, upstairs and down, it’s shaping up very very well. Funky party beats of all varieties.

Saturday June 7th
Slinky – The Dolls House Dance Party Logan Campbell Centre, ASB Showgrounds, 217 Greenlane West, Geenlane Tickets $58 from www.iticket.co.nz
2 UK legends, both who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a while back, headline this magnificent party. Lee Haslam, a hard dance heavyweight with great manners and Graham Gold, older, wiser, equally mad and with a teasing/pleasing big techno beat DJ ability. The décor will be OTT and the costumes from performers and attendees alike will be off the hook. A must.
And/Or Mint Essential House Music Dance Party Seba, 63 Fort St, Auckland Central Tickets $10 on the door before 12am. $20 after. 10pm – 6am
Upbeat fun-loving house music booms all night helping you forget your woes, and cherish the present. Worth it, nuff said.

Monday June 9th
Who Needs Sleep Anyway SkyCity Theatre, Cnr Victoria and federal Sts, Auckland Central Tickets $25 - $49. 8 – 10.15pm
A must see for the entire family. NZ’s best loved playwright, Roger Hall, joins forces with his daughter Pip Hall for the first time to create this comedy celebration of 100 years of bringing up babies under the watchful eye of Plunket. The play touches on the ups and downs of parenthood and champions the role Plunket has played in our lives. Kiwi funnyman Mark Hadlow puts on his bib to star as the lovable Baby P.
