Champagne at the time, sewage the next day
Damn those herbals, they construddled my weekend away. All well and good, and fun at the time, but the following day, woo watch-out. I am sure they have their place with many, but with me, I think I’ll stick to the old faithful: a glass of bubbles, followed by a few beers, some Patron (or Agavero) shots, with a couple of CC & D chasers, topped off by a Corona for good measure, and you are likely to get a similar euphoric feeling anyway.
To read my full weekly wrap, click here, and feel free to share your experiences from the last week by dropping a comment in at the end (you can remain anonymous if you are shy!)
If you haven’t fired me a prize draw email before now, why not make this your first time! There’s some fantastic stuff to win - it takes two seconds - and you are in with a really good chance.

Cool Things to Win This Week
1 x double pass to see Rhys Darby perform live, in a 1 off special 2 hour stage show at The Classic on Tuesday next week. He’s the Band Manager, Murray, on The Flight Of The Conchords. He’s also just finished a film co-starring with Jim Carrey, so is doing quite well in the U.S. Write “Rhys Darby” in the subject line and email me if you’d like to win these tickets.
3 x VIP passes to the Diesel/Brave Party at Denim this Friday. You’ll get a friendly greeting, cocktail on entry and preferred treatment all night long. Put “Denim Bar” as the header and email me back if you’d like to go.
3 x sets of all 3 volumes of the AA and George FM Finely Tuned CDs. Due to the number of entries last week, and with thanks to the AA, I’m doing it again. These are not available for sale remember, and are the perfect tunes for summer road trips and barbies. To win email me back with “AA” in the subject line. The exclusive offer to Marty's Guide readers is still valid; join the AA by Christmas for only $69. Just call 0800 AA JOIN (0800 225 646) and mention Marty's Guide.
2 x L’Oreal men’s face care packs; to coincide with the end of Movember. They are brimming with exfoliaters, moisturisers, lotions and potions. Worth well over $200 I reckon. To be in to win one of these email me with “L’Oreal” as the header.
2 x Vault 88 retro revival packs, one male and one female oriented. The first energy enhanced RTD is back with a vengeance. Again these packs are pricey and worthy of entering for. Put “Vault 88” in the subject line and mail me back to be in the draw.
1 x Club Unity pack. This includes the brand new Our House triple CD pack and a double pass to Rise – The Rooftop Party, up above Honey Bar. If this sounds pretty good, email me with “Our House” as the header.
2 x double passes to see the NZ Breakers play the South Sydney Dragons at The North Shore Events Centre tomorrow evening. Message me back ASAP with “Breakers” as the header if you’d like to go. I’ll text the winner Thursday morning so please INCLUDE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER.

Monday December 3rd
Silly Season After Work Drinks Mo’s Bar, Cnr Wolfe & Federal St, Auckland Central No Charge. 5 – 8pm
I just like this bar, so here it is. This classic corner bar is a perfect place to chill after work, or keep schmoozing late into the night. Mo's has become an institution, whilst remaining one of Auckland's best kept secrets. Make a night of it, take time out across the road at Rice for the most pleasurable dining experience you are likely to find in NZ, then return for a night cap.

Tuesday December 4th
The Beat Of Rhys Darby LIVE (Comedy) The Classic, 321 Queen St, Auckland Central Tickets $25 on the door. Bookings essential on 3734321. 8 – 10.30pm
He was sort of famous before he left bound for the USA. Now even the yanks know his name. He’s the loveable naive manager of the boys on “The Flight Of The Conchords” TV show. He’s back for a bit after working with the big boys (for instance Jim Carrey) for a 1-off 2 hour performance. I have no idea what to expect, just a supreme international award worthy show I presume.
